From 94.6kg to 74.3kg: 82.5kg

Rob Riches, a winner of a few International Male Fitness Model titles. Every time I come across that name, I cannot help myself to think about me on stage competing for an International Male Fitness Model title. I must say he is an inspiring figure for me to do whatever I can to build that body to cherish the glory on stage alongside with the top class Male Fitness Model. Alright, I think I have a very long way to go to that stage. Or perhaps, I may be too old when I get to look like a fitness model. Of course, I don't mind to compete in Master Class if such title exist in 2020.

Okay, back to the point where I was 82.5kg. I had a sudden urge to compete in the male fitness model category of the 2013 INBA Melbourne Championship after hearing the story of my old colleague about her being able to expand her business quickly after compete in figure category even though she did not have any placing in the competition. I went to my coach and told him that I really want to be on stage in 8 months time (Sep12 - May13). The process took me to muster a lot of courage as I always think that he may consider competing in fitness model category is a super lame idea. Surprisingly, he was fine with that idea. I really hope he does. He went on and said, "I really think you should look for a bio-signature practitioner to look at your diet"....At first, I was confused. Bio-Signature and Bio-Age are many letters different from each other but they sounds like a twin to me. I thought they were the same but I knew I must be wrong as Bio-Age is just a gimmick being used in the fitness industry to generate business (Let say it makes people realize that they are so unfit and the only help to make them fit again is personal training) I double checked it with my coach. I cannot recall what exactly he told me but I eventually found out Bio-Signature is a 'technology' to find the right diet plan to get me as lean as possible so that my coach can help me to work on the muscles that I'm lacking of.

Next step, find a Bio-Signature practitioner. I was not sure how should I look for these people. I felt like a lost sheep and don't know where to start. I asked Faye if she knows of anyone is a bio-signature practitioner. Bam! Ben. However, I insist on shopping around so I went on Poliquin website and...Waalaa! Ten thousands names on the list of practitioner. When too many options make shopping around even harder, I decided to go with Ben. Next obstacle! Pick up the phone and make a call. I'm not sure since when did I develop phobia to call strangers on phone. I bet it was that phone call to a stranger with a very strong Australian accent and the gazillion of slang being used throughout that phone call. It took me another few days to muster the courage (again) to make that phone call. Guess what! It only took less than 2 minutes and the date is set for the beginning of my bio-signature journey.

One day in 2011

On a fateful night in the year of 2011, I overheard a conversation between Faye & her client in the gym.

Client: 'According To Mayan Calendar, the world will end in 2012.'
Faye: 'If the world is going to end in 2012, you must live the best of your life before it ends.'

The conversation is so inspiring that I keep it as a reminder to keep me going to be the best of me. Because of it, I'm very happy with where my life is heading forward at the moment. In fact, I'm living the best of my life despite all the ups & downs in the past 2 years.

Of course, I don't believe that the world is going to end in 2012 and I will keep striving to do what I'm doing beyond 2012. :)

32 years + 1 day

Today I take a memory lane trip back to my past 32 years of life.
I cannot stop wondering how many starting points I have made throughout all these years.
Some of these starting points had met their ends while others are moving ahead to some ends.
One of the starting point that I made recently had reach its first goal...My six packs are back.
The layer of fat around my abdominal muscle is diminishing.
In fact, my abdominal muscle has not been looking this good even before I gained a layer of fat around them.
Even though my abs is not looking very striking good at the moment, I must say 'thank you' to my coach, Steve, who has been spending at least a few hours a week to train me.
You are one of the important turning point of my life.
Without your training and advice, I don't think that I'm here today.
You will be forever a part of this blog here.

2 weeks on

It's been more than 2 weeks that I've adopted new diet with plenty of meats & plenty of vegetables.
My body has been slowly adapted to it.
At first, I feel the surge of energy during the first few days.
It seems like a good sign that I should be fine with the diet.
It caught me off guard when I feel dizzy whenever I move too quick.
I also had experienced motion sickness before my body adjusted to the diet again.
And now I feel like I have superpower as my recovery rate from exercise is quicker and I feel like I have lots of energy.
It's amazing that my weight is also dropping like flies and my body looks leaner now.
I have not been looking this lean for more than 7 years now, with more muscular look, of course.
I seriously cannot wait to see how my body transforms in the next few months before I enter myself in a fitness model contest.

01 Oct 2012

I always wanted to write a story about my life.
I never find it to be interesting enough to be written down.
But this is it.
This is the beginning of a journey to change how I look like to how I want to look like.
And I will not be looking back.
